last episode

How disappointing was the last episode "Doomsday" it had a good set up with the daleks and cybermen (even though daleks are getting a bit old) and they spoilt it by not building up the tention like the "parting of the ways". Next point, the pathetic scene where Rose gets pulled into hell...is comical!!and because of this the scene on the beach lacks depth. then there is the "Rose tyler....." the first time i saw that i laughed. it's such a shame because david and billie are really trying v hard and they're acting is fab it was just really badly written!

I don't like any episodse wrote by Russell T. Davies. I think his episodes are the worst, especially the dire Love & Monsters. The best writer is Steve Moffat who wrote The Empty Child, The Doctor Dances and The Girl in the Fireplace. I always enjoy his stories and Mark Gatiss is a quality writer as well. It's just a shame RTD keeps dragging it back down.

I absolutly agree 100%. i love the steven moffat episodes!!! they allways seem to mention banans and 'dancing' but his writting is a much better quality than RTD. I think Rtd's episodes in the 1st series were okay. steven moffat is outstanding!!! 'girl in the fireplace' mad me cry and it was that sort of heart felt sadness they needed for doomsday...but rtd was just trying to make the parting of the ways again.

It certainly felt like that's what he was trying to do. All overblown and pseudoepic.

I loved The Girl in the Fireplace. It reminded me of Tom's Midnight Garden in many ways. With one character aging while the other keeps visiting them at certain points and never aging as it's only minutes or hours to them whereas to the other person it's years of waiting for the next visit. It's all very sad. That story got to me more than Doomsday.

the very last scene on the beach in doomsday was good but the rest was a bit too crammed in

yeah i cried at the end of the girl in the firplace it was so moving such a brilliant idea....and what makes me angry is that episode was nearly dropped!!! The scene on the bech and wall bit was sad....it was just the absurdity and the way she quite obviously wasnt getting sucked anywhere she was just letting go.
